距離上次更新,已經過了一個月了,這個月基本上除了在看一點點論文外蒐集自己未來研究可能會用到的球賽影像,以及參加CVGIP研討會外,就是在忙這次換我們所上主辦的ASSB國際研討會,就這樣不知不覺地過了快一個月了
也慢慢地體會到其研究生並不是只有做自己的研究而已,還有其他的事情要做
也慢慢適應了研究所生活

It has been one month since my last update.During this month,besides reading a few papers and recording the basketball game videos which would be used in the future for my research, our institute is the host of ASSB 2014.
After this month,I have gradually known that as a graduate student,research is not a only thing you have to do.

8/4 weekly update
1.這禮拜的meeting,除了跟老闆大概講了一下我現在的進度,說真的,沒有太多的進度,很多事情真的是要實際去做才知道他是長怎麼樣子,看了一個禮拜的資料,看完了,也很模糊,甚至感覺好像甚麼都沒看,看資料的方向感覺也是錯的,但是我相信之後一定會有甚麼用的,另外也多少跟老師聊了一下未來兩年的規劃,老師也都很鼓勵我去做,甚至希望能投2016的ICCE,到美國看一看世界,但我覺得對現在的我那一切看似非常遙遠,卻又不那麼非常遙遠,有時,我覺得我做成功的事情很少,作夢的事情更少,希望我能繼續有熱情的往前走.
2.未來的碩士研究方向在幾次跟老師討論之後,也慢慢了解老師給我的方向是甚麼,主要希望是可以寫出一套追蹤系統,討論時,我很訝異老師meeting時跟我說:[咦?!你碩士班入學口試時不是說你很喜歡籃球,下禮拜有瓊斯盃,你去錄一下比賽畫面,看看這之後能不能結合在裡面!]我以為老師根本不會記得我口試時說了些什麼,老師的這一句話,讓我的眼睛又亮了起來
3.八月中要去墾丁參加CVGIP的研討會,希望能多給我一些想法
4.老師也利用meeting的時間大概跟我介紹一些物件追蹤的概念,也給我一些這方面的關鍵字,修正我之前查詢資料的方向
ps.

1.In this week's meeting, I have spent most of meeting time discussing my career planning. Sometimes,I felt that I messed up lots of things , because I dared to dream big more.
2.After the meeting with my supervisor several times, I have gradually figure up the research direction.By the way,'William Jones' Cup International Tournament" will begin in this week, my supervisor advice me to record the video of the game, and think about how to combine with my image tracking system after i finish it .
3.In the middle of Aug,I will attend the CVGIP. Hope it can give me some ideas about my research.
4.In the meeting, my supervisor gave me some advice about Object tracking.Hope it can help me to find the correct paper to read.
ps.
1.The progress in this week is fairly slow. I'm going through a rough time.Hope it will get better.
2.The type of the blog is tending to "a weekly diary about my research",I think the reason is I haven't figure up what is tracking.So I decided to change the way to write my blog.
3.I have google lots of information about "how to be a graduate student" & "how to read references ". The links are the beat articles I considered.
4.I have read a book this week, and here is a sentence I want to share."Dream always get close in the bad situation."-- 人生至少歐北來一次 FB--> 台灣冷門景點熱血復甦計畫 - 歐北來

7/24 weekly update
1.這禮拜大概用了一下Visual C++ 2010 並使用OpenCV影像處理的API,一開始下載完OpenCV,按照安裝的步驟設定,也上網查了一些簡單的程式範例來測試,但出現了一個問題,讓我卡了好幾天,我遇到的是每次debug完,系統總是顯示"您的電腦遺失opencv_core246d.dll",但詭異的是,照著檔案路徑去找,會發現我的檔案並沒有遺失,不管是我重新安裝OpenCV或者是下載其他版本的OpenCV,除錯時永遠都有這個問題,讓我的程式無法執行,最後到OpenCV的官網查詢,終於找到解決方法了(點我看方法),我想我之後要多多利用這個官網了,之後應該會遇到更多類似的問題
ps.遺失的檔案中246代表OpenCV下載的版本,246代表OpenCV2.4.6的版本
2.這禮拜到師大跟那邊的學長姐學了一些Biodex(等速肌力儀),Biopac訊號擷取系統(加速規),EMG,Vicon(動作分析系統),Kistler force plate(測力板)的操作方法,還有一些數據的分析,我發現這些儀器很多都是用到電子相關的東西(ex.1.Trigger-->他的原理就是類似正極觸發,負極觸發的東西,他的作用是讓不同儀器進行同步 2.還有比如EMG收到的肌電訊號,之後必須用低通濾波器過濾得到有用的訊號(因為人的肌肉發出的訊號都在20HZ到500HZ之間,超過這範圍的就不是人體的肌電訊號(也就是雜訊),需要濾波),而且有趣的是他的介面很像Matlab的Simulink)
心得:這禮拜的進度有點緩慢,打工也一起加進來了,繼續加油了!

ps. The number 246 in "opencv_core246d.dll" means the Version of OpenCV.
2.I have learned how to use Biodex,Biopac,EMG,Vicon, Kistler force plate, and some data analysis skills in NTNU this week. I found that the some concepts of the equipment design are common with electronic knowledge.(ex. trigger--> Used to synchronize different equipment. , EMG--> The original signals from EMG have too much noise, so we have to use lowpass filter to get the useful signals (because the signals from the people are between 20Hz~500Hz. ). By the way, It's interest that the interface of lowpass filter in EMG is similar to Simulink.)

7/18 meeting
1.這禮拜的meeting大部分的時間是聽學姊的論文口試報告,學姊的論文內容是將老師的影像追蹤系統應用在注意力缺陷過動症(ADHD)的學童上面,並透過在課堂上的影像追蹤去分析ADHD學童與一般學童在課堂上的差異
2.查了一個禮拜的MLE,看了一些paper,MLE是在統計上常使用的方法,在影像分析上,是用來尋找不完整資料的可能分布方法,很多有關影像追蹤的論文,程式中都有使用到這個概念,但我離寫出程式還有一大段很大的距離
3.老師手邊的儀器,有幾台攝影機,但具有高速攝影的功能,這部分可能還要再去確認一下
4.目前想使用的程式編輯器是Visual C++,一方面這是以前有碰過的編輯器,一方面這也是老師建議我使用的,他說他之前用C++ Builder寫到後來有很多問題,但我還想再查詢一下相關資料,也許還會再更改
心得:
1.到這禮拜結束前,還是有陸續去師大幫忙做一些腳踏車Fitting的實驗,另外在北市大運器所這也待了一個禮拜,我覺得兩邊最大的差別是,師大的學長姐對於運動科學方面真的很專業,每次跟師大的學長姊做完實驗都學到好多運動科學的知識,在北市大,學長姊的背景算是比較多元的,但在影像處理的方面,我可能必須自己尋找資源了,查詢更多的資料
2.meeting完後,發現學姊似乎快爆炸了,有幾篇期刊論文要投,老師給的工作份量,似乎不少,算是比較硬的,我想幾個月後,我應該也會蠻爆炸的,我必須在暑假先調適好,多詢問學長姐
3.現在雖然大概知道我的研究方向,但其實還是很模糊的,老師雖然是丟給我影像追蹤的方向,但我覺得還有很多需要和老師討論,但在討論之前,我必須再多看一些資料,和老師討論才是有意義的討論

1. In this week's meeting, senior sister in school reported her paper, and paper is about "Using Image Tracking System To Analysis The Different Between ADHD Students And Normal Students". Which is combined the Image Tracking System and Special Education.
2.Having searched the information of MLE for one week, I have almost understanded the concept of MLE.
It's a statistics tool . In image tracking Programming ,it's used to find out the incomplete information. But I have to search more informations to figure out how to program.
3.The equipment for me to develop image tacking system is a general camera which have High-speed photography function . I have to figure out how to combine the camera and the program.
4.So far , the program language I want to use is Visual C++ ,but i have to study more information to figure out if it's the best choice .
ps.
1. Until this week , I have done some experiment about Bike Fitting with NTNU students, I think the most different between my institute and NTNU is that the students of NTNU Sport Science Institute are more professional about sport science knowledge. In our Institute, the background of students are more diverse.But in the image tracking , I have to find more resource to get better.
2.I think that after few months ,I would be very busy. I should adjust myself to get into new situation quickly.
3. Although my research direction is determined , It's still blurred and indistinct. I have to study more paper and find more information to figure out.
4.After my first week of my master's degree career ,It's a little different with what I thought before. Maybe I would know if it's a right decision until I graduate. This days, I'm in a bad mood. I should learn how to adjust ,because there will be more challenge. In the end, wish me never forget my goal.

7/9 meeting
1.指導教授給我的研究方向是影像追蹤,至於用甚麼程式撰寫,需要我自己決定,希望大家能給我點意見,追蹤的項目,則是由另一外具有體育專業背景的學姊給我意見,我該開始看paper了
2.老師也要我去找出怎麼將很多組的二維向量分辨出最相近的兩組,但在這之前老師希望我去搞懂MLE,MPE兩種統計方法是甚麼
心得:下禮拜之後我的暑假就結束了,老師也開始丟東西給我了,感覺跟大學真的不一樣,老師丟問題給你,你想辦法figure out,不知道自己能不能解決,也不知道自己現在的決定是不是對的,反正就盡力做吧!
